None of us can be the perfect parent, but showing up every day for our children, even when we feel like we can’t, is the definition of bravery. Sometimes just waking up each day and putting one foot in front of the other is enough. With this month being Mental Health Awareness month, it is important that we, as moms, check in with ourselves and make sure that we aren’t always just putting on the brave face but also taking care of ourselves.īravery comes in all forms. We are living in a world vastly different than the one we had during our childhoods, and navigating motherhood in this new world is strange, beautiful, and terrifying all at the same time. To see that type of bravery reflected in our children and how they have all stepped up to be more courageous than they should be at their ages is inspirational. It is a bravery that is not chosen but is just pure love and dedication to the little people who depend on us the most. I have seen this bravery in so many moms in my inner circle, and it has me in complete awe. It is a bravery that prompts a mother to do anything and everything for her children. It is a bravery that is instinctive and inherent and will protect at all costs.

To be a mom is to have a kind of bravery that is unique and different from other types of bravery.
